St. Brigid’s Parish Playschool

Address: St. Brigid’s Church Road , Stillorgan, Co. Dublin

Purpose
In St. Brigid’s Parish Playschool, we hope to provide a safe, stimulating and secure environment where every child feels valued and grows and learns through play. We attend the school church service each Friday morning and rely heavily on the extended church community, both old and young, for support.

Hours
Children between the age of 2½ and 5 can attend the playschool, in either a part-time or full-time capacity. Playschool hours are 9.00 – 12.30. A healthy snack is provided each day with fruit.

Activities
During the course of each week, activities might include art and craft (painting, printing, clay modelling, woodwork, gluing and sticking to name just a few), singing, drama, a League of Health class, games, drawing and outdoor play. During fine weather, we use the playschool yard (fitted with a special absorbent surface) and rectory field for activities.

Staff
Staff are trained and very well experienced. Staff are recruited with great care and a probationary period is always included. We are sometimes joined by students on work experience (usually past pupils!) and by Special Needs Assistants, as required.
